1. About Move-Match
Move-Match is operated by Jade Schofield, trading as Move-Match, from Hillsboro Road, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, PO21 2DX. You can contact us at hello@move-match.co.uk.
Move-Match is a quotation-matching and introduction service. We receive information about a proposed move, request responses from selected local removal companies and allow the customer to choose who they would like to speak to. We do not provide removal, packing, storage or transport services ourselves.
2. Requesting quotations
By submitting a quote request, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- the information supplied is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- any photographs supplied clearly show the items, rooms and access relevant to the move, and you have the right to provide them;
- you are entitled to request services for the move described; and
- you authorise Move-Match to use the submitted move information to request quotes from selected local removal companies; and
- you understand that your name, email address and telephone number remain private from removal companies until you select one and ask us to make an introduction.
A request is not a booking and does not oblige you to accept a quote. Move-Match does not guarantee how many companies will respond, that a suitable company will be available or that a quote will be provided within a particular time. A quote is based on the information and photographs submitted. Anything not shown or described is not included and may change the final price if it is identified later or if a survey is required.
3. Removal companies are independent
Removal companies introduced through Move-Match are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents or representatives of Move-Match.
Any quote, survey, booking, payment, cancellation, insurance arrangement or removal service is agreed directly between you and the removal company. Before booking, you should review the company's quotation, terms, insurance, credentials and any other information important to you.
We aim to invite suitable local businesses to quote, but inclusion in the process or an introduction is not a guarantee or endorsement of workmanship, pricing, availability, financial standing or fitness for a particular move.
4. Removal-company applications
Submitting company details does not guarantee acceptance into the Move-Match network or receipt of enquiries. We may request further information, carry out proportionate checks, decline an application or stop making introductions at our discretion.
A removal company receiving an anonymised move brief must use it only to prepare a response to that request. It must not attempt to identify or contact the customer. Customer contact details are provided only if the customer selects that company and asks Move-Match to make an introduction. Companies are responsible for complying with their own legal, tax, insurance, licensing and data-protection obligations.
5. Reviews
Where reviews are available, they reflect the experiences and opinions of individual contributors. They do not necessarily represent the views of Move-Match.
Reviews must be honest, relevant and based on a genuine experience. They must not contain unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, confidential or deliberately misleading material. We may verify, moderate, edit for privacy, refuse or remove content where reasonably necessary, but we are not obliged to publish every review.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the website, submit false or malicious information, attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce harmful code, scrape it without permission or use it in a way that infringes another person's rights or breaks the law.
Website content, branding, design and software belong to Move-Match or its licensors. You may use the site for your personal or internal business purposes, but may not reproduce or commercially exploit it without permission.
7. Website information and availability
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but information may become outdated and the service may occasionally be interrupted. We may update, suspend or withdraw part of the website where reasonably necessary.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Move-Match does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Responsibility and liability
Move-Match is responsible for providing the quotation-matching and introduction service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for an independent removal company's acts, omissions, quote or performance, or for a decision you make based on information supplied by a company.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Move-Match is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from use of the website or an independent removal service. If you use Move-Match for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will be shown on this page.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory rights available to you under applicable law.
